Backstory

Growing up in the Black Shroud, Vehta'li was raised in a 'community family' led by his birth mother, two other matriarchs and his fathers. Between his mother and two fathers, Vehta grew up with 8 siblings... and including the other matriarch's litters, many many cousins. His two brothers were far more outgoing, moving on to lead their independent lives while he himself remained with the family. Concerned for her kit's future, his mother urged Vehta'li to leave the forest and seek out a life of his own, new experiences.. a direction.This led Vehta'li to Ul'dah, somewhere vastly different from the lush forests of his home and bustling with life. Out of his depth but determined to adapt and overcome, Vehta joined the Gladiator's guild and took to the sport as well as undertaking odd jobs on the side to help those he could. The more he experienced, the more he wanted.. well, more. It was with this motivation he became involved with the city's Grand Company and, while growing more confidence in the comradery of fellow adventurers, was swept up into Eorzea's plight.

The Adventure...

Bristling with excitement, Vehta'li took his first airship ride to Limsa where he rushed by whom he was always destined to meet - eagerly following the scent of fresh seafood being unloaded onto the docks. Soon though, within the office of the Maelstrom's Leader, he made Z'hali Nuhn's acquaintance and the two of them carried their tasks to Gridania together.

Now...

If he'd known back then what leaving the forest would have led to, what meeting Z'hali would truly mean for him.. he'd do it again and again and again.Through all the conflict, heartbreak and struggle, Vehta'li found his other half, Z'hali Nuhn, and nurtured a deep bond with G'raha Tia and found more family and allies than he'd ever know what to do with.Now he lives happily as a bonded throuple with three kits of their own, balancing life between New Sharlayan and their home in the Lavender Beds. They spend their days raising their family, adventuring and expanding their studies.. time that, while the others are deep in reading, Vehta'li loves to either listen to them chatter or read things aloud, or nap.
